Bridget has been employed by the Ascension Parish Clerk of Court for 31 years. She began her career with the Clerk’s Office by working as a Court Minute Clerk, was promoted to Supervisor in 1989 and served in that capacity until she was appointed Chief Deputy Clerk in 2004. As Chief Deputy, she is responsible for the day to day operations of the Clerk’s 3 locations and 47 employees. In addition, she oversees all parish elections.
Bridget is a Certified Deputy Clerk of Court and is a member of the Louisiana Clerks of Court Association, the International Association of Clerks, Recorders, Election Officials and Treasurers, East Ascension Rotary Club, Ascension Chamber of Commerce, Donaldsonville Chamber of Commerce, and the Louisiana Government Finance Officers Association. She currently holds the position of Secretary for the Ascension Parish Board of Election Supervisors. In the past she has served on numerous committees for the 23rd Judicial District Court and the Louisiana Clerks of Court Association. She presently serves on the 23rd Judicial District Court Security & Emergency Preparedness Committee, and the Louisiana Clerks of Court Insurance Trust Wellness Committee.
She is a 2006 graduate of Leadership Ascension. In 2009 she received the Chamber of Commerce Individual of the Year Award as well as the Ambassador of the Year Award. In 2011 she was named New Rotarian of the Year by the East Ascension Rotary Club. She presently serves as Secretary and Chair-Elect for the Ascension Chamber of Commerce Executive Board, Chair of the Leadership Ascension Committee, and Vice-President of the Leadership Ascension Foundation Board. She also serves on the Golf Ascension and Leadership Ascension Alumni Committees. She is President of the East Ascension Rotary Club, overseeing the operations of the club and its committees. In addition, she serves as a volunteer CHOICES presenter at area schools.
A life-long resident of Ascension Parish, Bridget is married to Kevin Hanna and they are the proud parents of four children. They are members of Holy Rosary Catholic Church and reside in St. Amant.
